Weird & Wonderful

Beer Bread
3 cups Self-Rising Flour
3 TB Sugar
12 oz bottle of beer (non-alcoholic will do)
Mix all ingredients together and put into greased loaf pan. Let rise 30 minutes in a warm spot. Bake at 350 45-60 minutes (depending on your oven) or until golden brown.
*I never, ever cook it for more than 45 minutes. As soon as it is just starting to get golden brown on top take it out. This isn’t good the next day, so eat it up!
Katie’s Chili
Brown and drain:

½ cup onion, chopped
1 pound ground beef
Then add:
½ cup water
2/3 cup ketchup
¼ cup diced celery
2 TB lemon juice
1 TB brown sugar
1 TB Worcestershire Sauce
1 ½ tsp salt
1 tsp vinegar
¼ tsp dry mustard
1 tsp Accent
2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans, undrained
2 small (8oz) cans tomato sauce
1 TB chili powder

Simmer 30 minutes. Top with cheese and sour cream. Dip bread.
* I am not a usual big chili fan, but this has a sweet and tangy sauce that was yummy. I add more vegetables when I make it too- that's the thing, throw anything in the sauce and it will be delish!

what is accent?

I know! It's this spice at Winco. A food flavor enhancer- no idea- but this is the MOST addictive chili and also sloppy joe sauce, so I guess Accent makes it tasty!
