Easy Banana Bread


Mix together in a bowl:

3/4 cup all purpose flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sugar

Mix together in another bowl:

3 large ripe bananas; mashed
1/2 cup applesauce
4 TBLS butter melted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Add the banana mixture to the dry ingredients and stir gently by hand.
Add:
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts

*If the mixture is too dry- add more applesauce; if the mixture is too wet - add more flour.

Pour into pan and bake at 350 for 50 minutes or until toothpick or knife comes out clean.

I made this today and doubled it; I did have to add in more flour but it tastes delicious!
